What will I practise with B2 upper-intermediate worksheets?
B2 is the level at which English becomes truly flexible. You can read authentic newspaper articles, discuss abstract ideas, and write well-structured essays. These worksheets target the grammar and vocabulary points that most distinguish B2 from B1: structures such as inversion, mixed conditionals, and wish/regret are rarely encountered at lower levels but appear regularly in advanced academic and professional contexts.
Each B2 worksheet contains more extended tasks than B1. The writing exercise asks for a well-structured paragraph or short essay response of 8 to 12 sentences. Answer keys guide self-correction, and marginal grammar notes remind you of the key rules at the top of each sheet. All pages are designed for A4 printing.
After completing worksheets, explore the B2 interactive games for digital practice on the same points. See also all worksheet categories or the practice hub.

💡 Tips for studying at B2 level
- Read authentic English texts: At B2, start reading genuine newspaper articles, opinion columns, and short essays. Note how writers use discourse markers and complex grammar naturally in context.
- Practise transformation exercises: FCE Use of English tasks require you to rewrite sentences using a key word. Regular transformation practice sharpens your awareness of grammar alternatives.
- Study inversion in chunks: Learn fixed inverted phrases as whole units: “Not only did…”, “Never have I…”, “Seldom does…”. Treating them as vocabulary chunks is faster than trying to apply a rule each time.
- Write timed paragraphs: Set a timer for 15 minutes and write a paragraph on a given topic using at least three B2 structures from recent worksheets. Timed writing builds exam-ready fluency.
- Review your errors systematically: Keep an error log. When you mark a worksheet and find mistakes, write the corrected form and the rule in your log. Revisit the log weekly.
- Use interactive practice too: Visit the B2 games page for digital exercises with instant feedback on the grammar points covered in these worksheets.
